(Portland, OR) — adidas Skateboarding announces its partnership with Berlin’s Civilist store. The long-standing German retail destination is a key fixture within Berlin’s vast skate community. First opening their store in 2009 in the Mitte district, they were one of the pioneers in creating a new premium skate store that fully enveloped the creative lifestyle that surrounded them.

Choosing the adidas ZX6000, a silhouette with a rich local history, was the basis for Civilist to weave their own story into a timeless model and re-shape its future in their style. The outsole features the classic adidas Torsion Bar with Soft Cell heel cushion now adopting Civilist’s own smiley face logo.

The Civilist ZX6001 B takes design cues from 1990s and 2000-era skate shoes. A strong period of inspiration for Civilist. Employing a majority suede construction, even switching out the iconic Unity heel-clip for a suede-based option, is a ZX first. Civilist also updated the ZX pin-stripe mesh panels, which ushers in a host of details that pay homage to Civilist and the culture around skateboarding footwear.
